Charmaine Kennedy, J.D
Founding PartnerCharmaine is widely regarded as Dr. C’s trusted partner in both life and business - the strategic force behind the fundamental excellence of the practice. With a distinguished academic background and a strong foundation in business leadership, she plays an integral role in shaping the philosophy, systems, and standards that define the patient experience. Charmaine oversees company analytics, patient retention strategies, and long-term growth initiatives, ensuring that every business decision reflects the evolving needs of the practice and the individuals it serves. Under her leadership, the company has experienced consistent and exceptional growth expanding thoughtfully and strategically even in challenging economic climates.
Charmaine’s academic path reflects both intellectual rigor and global perspective. She completed a portion of her undergraduate studies at the prestigious University of Oxford before earning dual bachelor’s degrees in Politics and Philosophy from the University of San Francisco. She went on to receive her law degree from the University of California College of the Law, San Francisco, graduating with dual concentrations. During her legal studies, she also served as a visiting scholar at Università di Roma, where she completed coursework in International Business Law. Beyond Perfect Smiles, she has successfully launched and managed multiple business ventures, each guided by her disciplined yet forward-thinking leadership style.
Outside the practice, Charmaine is deeply committed to family and community. She volunteers her time at a local care home and finds her greatest fulfillment in raising her two sons, Ryder and Taylor. She is passionate about instilling in them the values of discipline, compassion, gratitude, and the pursuit of excellence - principles that shape both her leadership philosophy and the culture she helps cultivate within the practice.

Shelly K. Baraceros, M.A
Managing PartnerShelly serves as Chief Operating Officer of Perfect Smiles Family Dentistry, providing strategic leadership and operational oversight that supports the practice’s commitment to exceptional patient care. She oversees the internal systems that drive efficiency, consistency, and a seamless patient experience, continually advancing the practice through thoughtful digital integration and streamlined workflows.
Shelly holds a Master’s degree in Mathematics from Stanford University and brings a disciplined, analytical approach to the organization’s financial and operational leadership. She manages financial performance while guiding long-term growth and strategic planning. Shelly continually drives innovation within the practice by implementing advanced technologies and modern systems that keep Perfect Smiles at the forefront of patient care and dental innovation.
Education and mentorship remain central to Shelly’s leadership philosophy. Prior to joining Perfect Smiles, she taught high school mathematics in inner-city schools throughout Washington, D.C., Maryland, Virginia, and the Bay Area, where she developed a strong commitment to structure, accountability, and service. Today, she applies those same principles to building strong training systems and fostering a collaborative, high-performing team culture.
Shelly is married to Captain Rey Baraceros of the U.S. Army, and together they are raising three accomplished and active children: Jeslyn, Emily, and Bryson. Her dedication to family reflects the core values that guide Perfect Smiles Family Dentistry - integrity, discipline, service, and genuine care for the community they are honored to serve.

Kristine M.
Kristine joined the Perfect Smiles Family Dentistry team in 2011 and has since become the “heartbeat” of the practice. With her natural ability to connect with people, she helps patients feel genuinely welcomed, understood, and at ease from the moment they walk through our doors. Whether she is explaining treatment recommendations, assisting with insurance questions, or helping patients select the right financial plan, Kristine approaches every interaction with patience, clarity, and compassion. Kristine also serves as the office’s honorary party planner, creating fun and memorable staff celebrations that strengthen team spirit and camaraderie.
Outside of the office, Kristine enjoys spending quality time with her loved ones and her adorable Maltipoo, Peanut. Her strong work ethic, kindness, and dedication to her patients make her a truly valued member of the Perfect Smiles team.

Olga is a proud graduate of Chabot College and has been part of the Perfect Smiles Family for over 7 years. She is passionate about continuing education and staying current with advancements in dental hygiene in order to provide the highest level of care to her patients. Olga is deeply committed to helping her patients achieve and maintain optimal oral health through thorough, gentle treatment and personalized education.
Outside of the office, Olga loves to travel and immerse herself in different cultures - exploring local traditions, history, and of course, diverse cuisines. Her curiosity, warmth, and dedication to excellence make her an integral part of the patient experience at Perfect Smiles.

Lori brings over 20 years of experience in the dental field, including 17 dedicated years with Perfect Smiles Family Dentistry. Her longevity with the practice reflects both her commitment to excellence and the strong relationships she has built with patients and teammates alike.
She completed her studies at Fresno City College and San José State University before pursuing a career in dentistry. Known for her exceptionally thorough cleanings and gentle, attentive chairside manner, Lori takes great pride in delivering high-quality care while ensuring her patients feel comfortable and at ease.
An outstanding team player, Lori contributes not only her expertise but also a positive energy that enhances the culture of the entire office.
Outside of the office, Lori is a fitness instructor and enjoys staying active. She also finds joy in gardening, which reflects her appreciation for growth, wellness, and balance - principles she carries into her patient care each day.

Nena is a proud Bay Area native, raised in Castro Valley, California. She is often the first friendly face to welcome you, setting the tone for a warm and positive experience from the moment you arrive. Nena takes pride in building meaningful relationships with patients while keeping the front office running smoothly and efficiently. Moreover, she is a highly valued team player who supports both patients and colleagues with professionalism and care. Nena exemplifies positivity and a strong work ethic, while showing unwavering loyalty and support to both patients and colleagues.
Outside the office, Nena is a devoted mother of three who enjoys spending time with her family and cheering on her daughter at hockey games. Her positive attitude, kindness, and dedication to patient experience help create the welcoming environment our patients appreciate and trust.

Ana began her journey in dentistry after several years in retail, bringing with her a strong foundation in customer service and patient care. In 2016, she graduated from the Registered Dental Assistant program at Carrington College and quickly discovered her passion for the dental field. Ana is dedicated to providing attentive, compassionate care and takes pride in helping patients feel comfortable and supported during their visits.
Outside of the office, she enjoys spending time with her beloved dog, Jordan- her loyal companion of 13 years- as well as going on walks and hikes. Family is especially important to Ana, and she cherishes meaningful time spent with loved ones. She brings a steady, thoughtful presence to the office, grounded in both experience and heart.

With 14 years of experience in dental hygiene, Andrea brings a wealth of clinical expertise and a gentle touch to every appointment. Originally from New York, graduating from SUNY schools, she carries that signature East Coast energy and a deep commitment to her craft. For Andrea, patients aren't just names on a schedule - they are family.
When she isn’t helping her patients achieve their best smiles, Andrea is navigating the beautiful chaos of life with her two teenagers. To stay grounded, she finds her "zen" through yoga and frequent trips to the ocean. Whether she's on her mat or by the water, she believes that a healthy life starts with a balanced spirit and a great smile.

Veronica is a Bay Area native. She graduated from Skyline High School before earning her Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from California State, East Bay. Seeking a meaningful transition into healthcare, she went on to complete her Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene at The Ohio State University College of Dentistry in 2016.
Veronica finds great fulfillment in meeting patients from all walks of life and building genuine, lasting rapport with those she cares for. Helping patients feel comfortable, informed, and confident in their oral health is what she values most about her profession. Veronica appreciates the family-oriented culture at Perfect Smiles and the strong sense of teamwork within the office.
Outside of work, Veronica enjoys traveling, gardening, and most importantly, being a proud mom to her son. A fun fact about Veronica: she and her identical twin are both dedicated to careers in dentistry - making oral health truly a family calling.

Paul began his dental education at Centro Escolar University, where he earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine. He further advanced his professional training at the University of the Pacific School of Dentistry, completing advanced coursework as a Registered Dental Assistant in Extended Functions (RDAEF II). Paul’s focus on preparation and precision, ensures that every procedure is delivered efficiently and at the highest standard of care. He is committed to creating a seamless and comfortable experience for all of our patients.
Outside the office, Paul enjoys spending time with his family and embracing outdoor adventures - especially riding his motorcycle along scenic mountain roads of Northern CA. Known for his calm presence and lighthearted sense of humor, Paul brings positivity and steady energy to the Perfect Smiles team.
